Service, Stories, and Systems: The Alex Edition

Hola! I’m Alex — a service-minded designer, strategist, and storyteller.
I build experiences that serve real people, not just screens.
My design journey didn’t start in a classroom—it began in everyday life. Translating for Spanish-speaking customers. Navigating the complexity of banking systems. Painting late into the night to process emotion and identity. I’ve worked as a banker, an artist, and a UX intern at Fortune 100 companies. Across all of it, one thing has stayed the same: I design to make things clearer, kinder, and more human.
Today, I bring that lens to experience design—blending research, product thinking, and a whole lot of lived empathy to help people feel seen in the systems they use every day.
What drives me:
-
Telling stories that connect emotion to insight
-
Translating ambiguity into structure
-
Designing inclusive, beautiful, and strategic experiences
-
Advocating for underrepresented voices in tech and finance
-
Bringing creative energy to serious problems
Beyond the screen:
When I’m not in Figma, you’ll probably find me…
-
Painting or sketching, turning feelings into color and form
-
Cooking for family (or just myself—plantains are a must)
-
Listening to music that makes me nostalgic or inspired
-
Exploring new cities, always on the hunt for good coffee and better design
-
Dreaming up new ways to blend art, culture, and technology to tell stories that matter
Mission
I design to serve.
My goal is to make complex systems feel simple, human, and inclusive—especially for people who don’t always feel seen. Whether it’s banking, tech, or everyday services, I approach every challenge with empathy, strategy, and a deep belief that design should work for real life.
